Attraction Overview Hongya Cave (Hong Ya Dong), also known as Hongyan Cave, Immortal Cave, and Hongya Gate, is officially named the Hongya Cave Folk Custom Scenic Area. It is a tourist destination combining sightseeing, leisure, and vacation functions, located at No. 88 Jialing River Riverside Road, Yuzhong District, Chongqing. Situated in the riverside area where the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers converge, it borders Canghai Bai Road near Liberation Monument to the north and Riverside Road to the south. Hongya Cave consists of 11 floors, stands 79 meters high, and covers a total area of 3.15 ten thousand square meters. During the Warring States period (316 BC), Hongya Cave served as a military fortress. In the Song Dynasty, it was a stone grotto temple. Above Hongya Cave stood Hongya Gate, originally an open gate. In the fourth year of the Hongwu reign of the Ming Dynasty (1371 AD), Dai Ding rebuilt Chongqing City and constructed nine open gates and eight closed gates, totaling seventeen gates. Hongya Gate became a closed gate, integrating with Hongya Cave. By the Ming Dynasty, Hongya Cave had become a commercial street district, and during the Qing Dynasty, it developed into a prosperous wharf, serving as a trade center for Chongqing. From the 20 s to the 30 s of the 20th century, Hongya Gate was damaged, and people settled in Hongya Cave, building stilt houses and forming Zhiyanhe Alley. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Hongya Cave served as a shelter for Chongqing citizens. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Hongya Cave was listed as a municipal cultural relic protection unit in Chongqing and began to develop into an important tourist attraction. In 2003, Hongya Cave underwent official demolition and reconstruction. The Hongya Cave Folk Custom Scenic Area was completed in 2006 and opened in month 9 of the same year. The main attractions include stilt houses, antique-style commercial streets, and Hongya Dripping Emerald, featuring shops offering distinctive cuisine, leisure entertainment, and Bayu folk crafts.

Attraction Overview The Victory Memorial of the Anti-Japanese War and the People's Liberation Monument, abbreviated as "Liberation Monument," is located in the center of the Liberation Monument Commercial Pedestrian Street in Yuzhong District, Chongqing, People's Republic of China. Construction began on 1946-10-31, and it was completed in 1947-8. It is a spiritual symbol of the victory in the Anti-Japanese War and the only monument in China commemorating the victory of the Chinese nation in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. The monument faces slightly east of north and features an octagonal column structure with a helmet-shaped top made of reinforced concrete. The total height of the monument is 27.5 meters, with a side length of 2.55 meters. Including the underground levels, it has eight stories in total, equipped with a spiral staircase leading to the top. Four sides facing the street are fitted with self-striking clocks, and flower beds surround the base. The total occupied area is 62 square meters, and the protected area spans 642 square meters. This site symbolizes the victory of the Chinese people in the anti-fascist war, as well as the liberation of Chongqing and the city itself. In 2000-9, it was announced by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government as one of the first batch of municipal-level cultural relic protection units after Chongqing became a municipality directly under the Central Government. In 2013-5, it was included in the "Seventh Batch of Major Historical and Cultural Sites Protected at the National Level" by the State Council of the People's Republic of China. On 2016-5-18, the Liberation Monument was selected as one of the "Ten Cultural Symbols of Chongqing." In 2016-9, it was included in the list of "First Batch of Chinese 20th Century Architectural Heritage." On 2020-11-18, it was elected as one of the "Top Ten New Cultural Tourism Landmarks of Chengdu-Chongqing Region."

Bai Xiang Ju is located at the intersection of Jiefang East Road and Baixiang Street in Yuzhong District, Chongqing. Built in 1993 to harmonize with Chongqing’s distinctive mountainous terrain, this 24-story residential complex has no elevators and consists of six interconnected blocks spanning over 140 meters horizontally. [22] Using the Chongqing-style folded layout, Shibati restores the texture of seven streets and six alleys, creating eighteen scenic spots: Mountain City Memory Hall, Shibati Memory Hall, Shibati Great Tunnel Ruins, Shibati Old Street, Buddha Cliff Sunset (Guanyin Rock), Huangge Moon Hanging (Yuetai Ba), Jiaochang Viewpoint (City Balcony), Ancient Well Spring Breeze, Shibati No. 171 Residence, Jinzi Square, Shanguo Night Lanterns, Phoenix Square, Tianfeng Qin Society, Qidao Temple Square, Sedan Chair Shop History, Intangible Cultural Heritage Street, Phoenix Flower Street, and Domestic Goods Street. [9] [22] On 2021-3-31, the Shibati Traditional Style Area was selected as an "Excellent Case in Urban Renewal City Block Category." [11] In 2021-6, the Shibati Traditional Style Area won the RICS China Award for Excellent Urban Renewal Project of the Year 2021. [12] In 2022-8, the "Shibati · Shancheng Lane" Traditional Style Area was included by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in the "Second List of National-Level Nighttime Cultural and Tourism Consumption Clusters." [19] In 2025-3, it was designated by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism as the Fourth Batch of National-Level Tourism and Leisure Streets. [21]

[9] In 2024, the Chongqing Yangtze River Cableway won the "Best Investment Efficiency Award Nomination" at the 13th ITIA Awards, presented by ITIA, an authoritative platform in China's tourism investment industry.
